I lost interest and abandoned this project a couple of years ago. These days I spend most of my gaming time GM'ing D&D and Traveller on Roll20.

Thanks,

We are back up on PacTactics.com

My web page is back up at PacTactics.com.

In GS Autoupdate, hit the "Options" button and change:

    http://Home.PacBell.net/PackT/GlobalSuperpowers/Message.txt

to:

    http://packtactics.com/GlobalSuperpowers/Message.txt

... and everything should be working again.

AT & T has decided to take home.pacbell.net down

AT & T has decided to take home.pacbell.net down, telling its users to find a new host. Unfortunately, that is where I keep the updates for Global Superpowers. Therefore the game will be down until I find a new place to put my files.

Server Down: Hardware Failure

Last week I lost the fan on the video card.  The server will be down until I can either find another fan or scrounge up another video card.

Help File Updated: Region Page

Updated the Regions page in the help file to read:

Control of a sea region means that you have the largest naval presence in the region.

To take over a coastal sea region, you must have the greatest number of naval attack points in the region.

If no nations have any vessels with naval attack points, the program checks submarine attack points.

If no player has any combat ships or submarines in the region, the program checks the ownership of adjacent land regions.

If one player controls all adjacent land regions, they will also control the adjacent coastal sea regions.

Control of coastal sea regions are checked at the end of each turn.
